Founded in 2014, The Jerusalem Film Workshop is a unique and exciting program for talented young filmmakers from around the world. The program provides the opportunity for its participants to hone their skills, while also exploring the diverse human nature of Israel.
Over the course of six weeks, twenty participants, working in teams of five, create five short documentaries that present their own original perspectives on the city of Jerusalem.

In a hands-on creative experience, the process involves mentoring and masterclasses led by leading figures in the Israeli film industry allowing participants to discover their filmmaking style while connecting with the diverse people of Israel.

The JFW is proud to be collaborating with festivals from around the world that work with us to gather submissions, ensuring we have a diverse selection of participants each year.

The completed films are eventually screened at festivals around the US, Europe and Central America, followed by a Q&A session with the filmmakers.

The JFW is an initiative of Green Productions partnered with Onward Israel, the New Fund for Cinema and Television, the Morris and Rosalind Goodman Family Foundation, The Jerusalem Film and Television Fund, The Everline Group and United King Films.

The program is held in affiliation with the Jerusalem Film Festival.
