Synopsis
Uri makes a mistake during his army interview – he tells the truth. He reveals that he's been sharing a room with his mother, his father is about to leave them, and he doesn't think he'll fit in the army. In his last year of high school, Uri will have to forge his path in life and find a room of his own.
Director's Biography
Matan Yair’s award-winning debut feature, Scaffolding was based on his own life experiences. It world-premiered at Cannes 2017 in the Acid programme, which highlights works from emerging indie filmmakers, followed from Toronto Film festival. Yair studied directing and screenwriting at the Sam Spiegel School for Film and Television and Tel Aviv University and has previously made short films and a documentary. He wrote two novels published by Yediot Aharonot.

2017 – Scaffolding (Drama, 90 min) - The film premiered in Cannes 2017 (Acid) and TIFF 2017, won Best Film at Jerusalem FF 2017, as well as special mentions in Singapore FF and Tbilisi FF 2017, and was nominated for 8 Israeli Academy Awards. It gained rave reviews in Israel and outside and became the 2nd most viewed film in 2017 with nearly 200,000 admissions. It was sold so far to 5 territories including: France, US, Australia, Poland and China.
